McDonalds…..killing people since 1955

Jun 12, 2025

Across the road from bikerent they have been building (not really building…..putting together) a new shop and its going to be a McDonalds, in my opinion that is bad news….why do our governments let these people kill our children? Why don´t we stop buying food that kills us?
Check this out…this is from chatgbt.com
Nutritional quality: McDonald’s food is generally high in calories, saturated fats, sodium, and added sugars. Regular consumption can contribute to obesity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes if not balanced with a healthy diet.
Portion sizes: Many menu items are calorie-dense with little nutritional value, especially the larger meal options and sugary drinks.
Occasional vs. frequent: Eating McDonald’s occasionally isn’t likely to cause major health issues for most people, but frequent consumption is widely considered unhealthy.
🌍 Environmental Impact
Packaging waste: McDonald’s generates a large amount of packaging waste. While the company has made moves toward sustainability, single-use plastics and paper products still contribute to pollution.
Carbon footprint: Their beef-heavy menu contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions. Meat production, especially beef, is a major environmental stressor.
🏢 Corporate Practices
Labor issues: McDonald’s has faced criticism for low wages, limited benefits, and opposition to unionization in some regions.
Marketing to children: The company has been criticized for heavily marketing unhealthy food to children, contributing to early unhealthy eating habits.
Verdict
Frequent consumption of their standard menu items can negatively affect health. It also has mixed impacts on the environment and society.
New advertising slogan…McDonalds…proud to be killing people since 1955.
